At the Tropical Garden
Here are several photos from our latest visit:
The tropical garden, which covers an area of about 20 dunams, was established in the 1970s and includes hundreds of types of tropical plants. These plants need constant moisture and protection from winter winds.
The garden includes tropical plants, walking paths, ponds for fish and birds, and aquatic plants.
Most of the garden plants came from tropical regions, characterized by high and constant temperature and humidity all year round. These growing conditions allow the development of a multi-layered forest, dense and rich in plant species, with tall evergreen trees, low trees, shrubs, climbers, and epiphytes (plants that grow on the trunks or branches of other plants but are not parasitic and do not feed on them). High humidity is achieved by frequent watering and protection from the weather, such as shade sheds and tall trees. This is why it is always pleasant to walk here.
The garden includes palms, ferns, ficus, bamboo, cycads, lupines, birds of paradise, and water plants.

A stroll around the garden will take 30 – 60 minutes.
Summary
I have visited these gardens several times over the years. As far as I remember, the garden looked better on my previous visits. However, it is still a pleasant place for a short visit. Since a walk around the park took about 40 minutes, we headed to the nearby Unique Gardens. Moreover, you can find additional attractions on the interactive map above.
