When to Visit?
Givat Homra is known for the blooming of the Coastal Iris. It begins to bloom in mid-January and reaches its peak in mid-February. The blooming lasts till the beginning of March (for more info and photos, see Coastal Iris Trail at Ilanot Forest).
In 2026, Givat Homra became known for a large field of blooming anemones (about 200 meters south of Givat Homra). Anemones usually bloom in February and March. That is why Festival Darom Adom takes place in February. But in 2026, they were even blooming in April. We visited at the beginning of April, and there were many flowers (but the season had already ended for the irises).
Parking
You can park for free along Road #4311 or in a small parking lot on Givat Homra.

We parked at the parking lot and walked about 200 meters south to the anemone field. Here are several photos from the way:

After several minutes, we reached the big flower field. It is located near the intersection of roads #4311 and #4. Here are several photos:

Summary
This whole hike took a little more than an hour. It was an easy and lovely hike. But since it was short, I recommend combining it with other nearby attractions, such as Sorek Estuary National Park (for additional suggestions, see the interactive map above).
